The Rev. Dr. Brandon T. Crowley, Ph.D., of Harvard Divinity School (U.S.A.) will give a public lecture on his latest monograph, "Queering Black Churches: Dismantling Heteronormativity in African American Congregations." Using the lenses of practical theology, ecclesiology, Queer theology, and gender studies, Dr. Crowley examines the heteronormative histories, theologies, morals, values, and structures of Black churches in the U.S. and how their longstanding assumptions can be challenged. The Insitiute for Systematische Theologie (A.B.) warmly welcomes all members of the University and the public to participate in this presentation and discussion.
